Intelligent Motion Pilates & Physical Therapy is the instruction of the Classical Pilates Method as an Intelligent Movement System designed to bring awareness to our bodies to stretch, strengthen and create core stability. We use specialized equipment to assist and challenge the student in his or her journey to a stronger, leaner and more balanced body. People of all ages and abilities can benefit from Pilates, from athletes to the "desk-aletes."
Clinical Pilates is a service provided by Dr. Rebecca Hoeck, PT, DPT to students who might not be ready for the Classical Pilates Method due to an injury or recent surgery. Clinical Pilates is the integration of Pilates and Physical Therapy that assesses the different body systems and develops treatment solutions using the Pilates Method and physical therapy to build a bridge between Clinical to Classical Pilates.

Pilates, (Contrology), is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. With systematic practice of specific exercises coupled with focused breathing patterns, Pilates has proven itself invaluable not only as a fitness endeavor, but also as an important adjunct to professional sports training and physical rehabilitation of all kinds.
Practiced faithfully, Pilates yields numerous benefits. Increased lung capacity and circulation through deep, healthy breathing is a primary focus. Strength and flexibility, particularly of the abdomen and back muscles and coordination-both muscular and mental, are key components in an effective Pilate’s program. Posture, balance, and core strength are all heartily increased. Bone density and joint health improve, and many experience positive body awareness for the first time. Pilates teaches balance and control of the body, and that capacity spills over into other areas of one’s life.

Specifically designed as an introduction to the fundamentals of yoga practice. Creating strength, stability, and balance for the whole body by syncing breath and movement in this flow based class. Through an intelligent progression that moves from basic to complex, this style of yoga builds heat, flexibility and strength, while maintaining focus on safe alignment and sound structure. Modifications are given for beginner students and variations are offered for more advanced practitioners. Please bring a towel, water bottle and yoga mat.
Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient practice used for martial arts, longevity and philosophy. A subset of Tai Chi is Qi Gong, which focuses on more limited movements with standing postures. No matter which one you're practicing it has well-documented benefits for both body and mind.
